French Infrastructure Holding Vinci Exits Russia
Natsproyektstroy has acquired the stake of Vinci S.A. in North-Western Concession Company LLC (Северо-Западная концессионная компания, or SZCC), RBC reports, citing a source familiar with the companies’ negotiations, which was confirmed by another source.
SZCC was established in 2007 as a joint venture between Mostotrest and Vinci, and won the tender for the construction and operation of a key section of the Moscow-St Petersburg high-speed motorway (Mostotrest later transferred its stake to Natsproyektstroy).
Vinci S.A. is one of the largest infrastructure holdings in Europe. It is involved in the construction and concession-based management of motorways, railways, airports, and stadiums. The company is also actively engaged in energy infrastructure, including wind and solar power projects.
