2017
The current owners of Alphabet – former professionals from international law firms of London’s Magic Circle – acquire a subsidiary established in 2009 by one of Russia’s largest audit firms. The company is part of a global network ranked among the top 10 audit and consulting groups worldwide. The main purpose of the buyout was to provide consulting services to the family offices of prominent Russian entrepreneurs
2018
Opening of the Volgograd office.
2019
The firm’s legal practice joins the Baker Tilly team in Russia and begins providing services to international clients of the network from around the world.
2021
The firm ranks 41st in the RAEX agency’s list of the Largest Groups and Companies in Accounting Outsourcing for 2020. The number of employees in Moscow and Volgograd exceeds 40.
2022
After February 2022, companies with foreign capital begin actively winding down their business operations in Russia. More than 40 major global companies across various industries with Russian subsidiaries become clients of the firm’s interim management practice, requesting services related to temporary management and business closure. Interim management becomes one of the firm’s key service lines. Baker Tilly in Russia is rebranded as Beterra. Beterra ranks 42nd in the RAEX ranking of major outsourcing groups and companies. The firm’s partners acquire the legal practice from Baker Tilly’s legal successors and consolidate all service lines (legal and tax advisory, outsourcing, interim management, and industrial asset management) under a single brand – Alphabet.

A snapshot of our financial performance as of 31 December 2024:
Interim management services drove overall revenue growth across all service lines, accounting for more than 80% of total income.
The assets of companies under management amounted to more than RUB 12 billion, and the group’s own net assets exceeded RUB 2 billion.
Alphabet’s net profit increased by 153% compared to 2023.
The number of employees across all offices, including Alphabet’s portfolio companies, exceeded 100 people.
