Samsung Increases Marketing Activity in Russia
“Samsung is conducting almost all of its advertising activity through the operator MTS, investing in the promotion of its gadgets in Russia”, said TelecomDaily general director Denis Kuskov, adding that Samsung’s new product releases appear in Russia several days earlier than in Europe or the USA. Samsung did not respond to questions about the reason for its increased marketing activity but emphasised that shipments to Russia remain suspended and that the company has not made any decisions to resume them.
The company halted direct product shipments to Russia in spring 2022. On 14 February, South Korean news agency Yonhap reported that, according to information available to it, several South Korean brands – including LG, Samsung, and Hyundai – were considering the possibility of resuming operations in Russia.
